The goal:
To evoke a feeling of happiness on a sunny day, a fond memory of a special place, or to tap into one of the five senses with the sound of a waterfall, the smell of a lily, or the taste of luscious fruits and vegetables. To see, to feel, to experience the world we inhabit…this is how I want to connect with those who view my paintings.
Each pastel painting begins with a process establishing a thought provoking composition with a unique perspective. After the structure has been developed, pastel pigment is layered, stroke by stroke, establishing the mood for each painting with bold and subtle color variations, giving each painting life and connection.
