Two of my great passions in life are people and photography. Through my photography I seek to document my personal view of people and experiences and I try to capture moods and ideas as I see them in my mind’s eye.

I like to share captured images in much the same way that writers, painter, poets, and musicians seek to evoke feelings and reactions through their respective media.

Born in South Africa and having travelled the world extensively, I consider myself a world citizen and believe that my experiences with different cultures and people have given me a unique way of looking at people. A self trained photographer, I have been creating images for around 4 years, with a preference for fine art photography.

I view the art of photography as a subtractive process, a distilling of reality into a personal vision. As such I use the tools of modern photography to try to capture in an image the emotions I felt at the moment I tripped the camera’s shutter.

As the images of other photographers have inspired me to explore, I hope my own contributions will inspire others to do the same.
