Susan Mahanʼs undergraduate degree in Art/Education is from Miami University. She subsequently earned a Masterʼs Degree from Xavier University where she also has served as an Adjunct Professor in the Art Department.
Her career as a high school art teacher lasted 33 years. She taught for 25 years at Mariemont High School in suburban Cincinnati until retirement in 2006 to pursue a career as a full time artist. Since that time she has participated in numerous juried shows and enjoys gallery representation in New Albany at Three French Hens as well as in Cincinnati at The Fig Leaf, Indigenous, and Pop Revolution/Gallery 42 in Mason. Her work is in many private collections as well as the corporate collection of P&G. She has won numerous awards. She maintains a studio at the Pendleton Art Center in downtown Cincinnati and participates in monthly Final Fridays.
